Aligning the Vision: Christ Community Church & Ordinary Men

As a church, our mission at Christ Community Church is to Connect people to Jesus, Cultivate a community of disciples, and Commission them to make more disciples.

But how do we practically live this out in our daily lives as men? How do we move from simply hearing these words on Sunday to walking them out on Monday?

That is exactly why we are launching the Ordinary Men Discipleship Training on September 26, 2026. This 27-session journey is a practical, head-to-heart pathway designed to help ordinary guys take absolute ownership of their faith.

Here is a direct look at how the core pillars of the Ordinary Movement (OM) perfectly align with and activate Christ Community Church's (CCC) Three C's:

Christ Community Church (CCC)Ordinary Men's Core PrinciplesHow We Walk It Out Together
CONNECTConnecting people to Jesus.Intimacy with JesusAbiding in the vine.We move beyond a "Sunday-only" faith. We learn to feed ourselves spiritually through daily prayer, scripture, and spending quiet, personal time in the presence of God.
CULTIVATECultivating a community of disciples.Intentional RelationshipsHigh-grace, high-challenge.We reject isolation and individualism. We commit to a small group of 3 to 6 men who show up consistently, share vulnerably, and hold one another accountable to grow.
COMMISSIONCommissioning disciples to make disciples.MultiplicationReproducing our faith. We don't settle for being consumers of Bible studies. We complete the "full circle" of discipleship by equipping you to step up and lead a group of your own in the future.

What to Expect

This is not a casual Bible study or a lecture. It is a high-commitment, high-grace environment designed for deep, lasting transformation.

  • The Schedule: We meet bi-weekly for 27 sessions, spanning 6 to 12 months.
  • The Meeting: Each session is 90 minutes of focused discussion, prayer, and deep relationship building.
  • The Homework: Expect 1 to 2 hours of preparation per week. You will be reading from the Word, working through your workbook, and engaging with classic spiritual works by Watchman Nee, Bob Sorge, and Francis Chan.
  • The Group: Strictly limited to a small table of 3 to 6 men (maximum of 8 participants total) to ensure every man has the space to be real, be challenged, and be known.

Are You Ready to Step Up?

The Great Commission wasn't given to professional ministers; it was given to ordinary men—tradesmen, fishermen, and everyday workers—who had been with Jesus and were willing to help others do the same.

You don't need a seminary degree or a perfect track record. You just need a willing heart.
