Privacy Policy

Jeff Buckner (“I,” “me,” or “my”) operates jeffbuckner.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the Site, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

The Site provides Christian faith, discipleship, ministry, service, and blog content. It also provides ways to contact me about discipleship opportunities and related questions.

Information you provide

The Site does not currently offer user accounts, comments, newsletter registration, or a web contact form.

If you choose to contact me by email, telephone, or text message, I may receive:

• your name;
• your email address or telephone number;
• the contents of your message;
• information about your interest in discipleship or another service; and
• any other information you voluntarily provide.

Please do not send highly sensitive personal information through ordinary email or text. Those channels may not be appropriate for confidential pastoral, medical, legal, financial, or emergency matters.

Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, Vercel and related infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as:

• your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
• browser, device, and operating-system information;
• referring and requested pages;
• request dates and times; and
• information used to detect errors, abuse, or security threats.

This technical information is handled under the applicable service provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

Analytics, cookies, and advertising

The Site does not currently use an analytics service, advertising tracker, or behavioral-advertising system. I do not sell personal information, rent contact lists, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The Site itself does not intentionally set nonessential cookies. Essential infrastructure or third-party content may use cookies or similar technologies as described below.

YouTube videos

The Site may offer embedded YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. A YouTube connection is not loaded until you choose to play a video. When you do, YouTube and Google may receive technical information about your device and request and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

You can avoid that third-party connection by not playing an embedded video.

Site search

The blog search feature operates within the Site. Search words may appear in the page address and, like other requested URLs, may be included in routine hosting logs. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the search box.

How I use information

I may use information to:

• respond to your email, call, text, question, or request;
• communicate about discipleship opportunities or services in which you expressed interest;
• arrange a conversation or provide requested information;
• operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
• prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents;
• keep reasonable records of communications; and
• comply with applicable law or protect the rights and safety of others.

Contacting me does not guarantee admission to a discipleship group, availability for individual discipleship, or any particular result.

How information may be shared

I may share information only as reasonably necessary:

• with hosting, email, telephone, or other service providers that help deliver the Site or my communications;
• with authorized ministry personnel when needed to respond to a request or administer a discipleship opportunity;
• with a third-party service you choose to use, such as YouTube or a linked social platform;
• when you request or authorize the disclosure;
• when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request;
• when reasonably necessary to protect someone from harm, address suspected abuse, protect legal rights, or investigate misuse or a security incident.

I do not sell personal information or disclose it in exchange for money.

Ministry and group confidentiality

This Privacy Policy covers information handled through the Site and direct communications with me. It does not replace any separate confidentiality expectations or group covenant that may apply to participation in a discipleship group.

Information shared in a ministry or group setting cannot be guaranteed completely confidential. Confidentiality also does not require silence when someone may be in danger, abuse is disclosed, or pastoral, medical, legal, or emergency help is reasonably necessary.

The Site and routine communications are not substitutes for professional counseling, medical care, legal advice, or emergency services.

Data retention

I retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain appropriate records, administer ongoing communications or participation, resolve disputes, protect safety, and meet legal obligations. Information may be deleted when it is no longer needed.

Data security

I use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information I handle. No website, email provider, telephone system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to send.

Your choices and requests

You may ask me to:

• provide information about personal information I maintain about you;
• correct inaccurate information;
• delete information, subject to legitimate safety, recordkeeping, and legal needs; or
• stop sending nonessential communications.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies, you may have additional rights. I will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. I may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact me so I can review and delete it as appropriate.

Third-party websites

The Site may link to websites operated by churches, ministry organizations, curriculum publishers, YouTube, social platforms, or other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

References to Christ Community Church, Ordinary Movement, or another organization do not mean that the organization operates this Site unless expressly stated.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy as the Site or my practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
