Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of jeffbuckner.com (the “Site”), which is operated by Jeff Buckner (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Purpose of the Site

The Site provides Christian faith, discipleship, ministry, service, and blog content. It also provides information about discipleship opportunities and ways to contact me.

The Site is informational. Its availability does not create a ministry, coaching, counseling, consulting, fiduciary, confidential, or other professional relationship.

Ministry and educational content

Content on the Site is provided for general informational, educational, and ministry purposes. It is not mental-health treatment, professional counseling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency assistance.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and for seeking qualified professional help when appropriate. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on email, text, a Site page, or routine ministry communication for urgent help.

The Site may discuss Christian beliefs, Scripture, prayer, discipleship, personal growth, and spiritual practices. No particular spiritual, personal, relational, health, financial, or professional outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Contact and services

Sending an email, calling, or submitting another inquiry does not:

• create a client, coaching, counseling, consulting, or confidential relationship;
• register you for a discipleship opportunity;
• reserve a place in a group;
• guarantee that a service or opportunity is available; or
• guarantee a response within a particular time.

Any paid professional service, consulting engagement, event, or other formal arrangement will be subject to a separate written agreement when applicable. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement will control for that service.

Discipleship opportunities

Participation in a discipleship group or individual discipleship relationship may depend on availability, schedule compatibility, a personal conversation, the purpose and commitments of the opportunity, and other reasonable ministry considerations.

Schedules, group size, locations, materials, eligibility, and other details may change. Current details will be confirmed directly with participants.

Participants may be asked to agree to a separate group covenant or participation expectations. No Site policy can guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Confidentiality does not require silence when someone may be in danger, abuse is disclosed, or pastoral, medical, legal, or emergency help is reasonably necessary.

Appropriate use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, or harmful activity;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
• submit information you do not have the right to provide;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or another person’s information;
• interfere with the Site’s security, availability, or operation;
• introduce malicious code;
• use automated systems to scrape, overload, or misuse the Site; or
• copy or exploit Site content in a way that violates intellectual-property or other legal rights.

I may restrict access, disregard communications, or take other reasonable steps when I believe the Site is being misused.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Site’s original text, design, graphics, photographs, audio, video, and other content are owned by or licensed to Jeff Buckner and are protected by applicable law.

You may view and print reasonable portions of the Site for your personal, noncommercial use. Other reproduction, publication, adaptation, distribution, display, or commercial use requires permission from the applicable rights holder.

Bible translations, books, curricula, trademarks, quotations, videos, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing on the Site grants permission to reproduce the Ordinary Men workbook, leader materials, or other third-party copyrighted content.

Third-party links and content

The Site may link to or display content from YouTube, churches, ministry organizations, curriculum publishers, social platforms, or other third parties. I do not control those services and am not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, content, or practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

References to Christ Community Church, Ordinary Movement, or another organization do not mean that the organization operates the Site or endorses every statement on it unless expressly stated.

Privacy

The handling of information connected with the Site is described in the Privacy Policy.

Site availability and accuracy

I try to keep the Site useful and accurate, but information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. I may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site without notice.

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeff Buckner and those assisting with the Site will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Site or third-party resources.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to the Site will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in San Diego County, California, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact me and make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally.

Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms as the Site or its offerings change. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
